What is a Business Angel?

A Business Angel is a natural person, usually an entrepreneur, executive or former company executive, who contributes capital, technical knowledge, a network of contacts and sometimes also their time to entrepreneurs who want to launch a business project with the objective of obtaining a capital gain in the medium/long term and with the hope of selecting a highly successful business project within their portfolio.

Business Angels are a figure with a long tradition in Anglophone countries, the United Kingdom and the United States, and in recent years they have been gaining significant prominence in other countries such as France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Business Angels are the architects of the success of the vast majority of the technology companies we know today.
